Taiwa Patent Filing Requirements
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AND INFORMATION FOR FILING PATENT APPLICATIONS:
1. General information of the applicant(s) and inventor(s), including name, address and nationality.
2. Patent specification in English, Japanese or other acceptable foreign language. Translation into Chinese may be done by us, and submitted later.
3. Drawings (clear photocopies)
4. The filing date and application number of the first corresponding foreign application (if claiming the priority).
5. Power of Attorney, simply signed by applicant. (No legalization is needed.)
6. Priority documents must be filed within 4 months (or within 16 months from the claimed priority date.)
 
***Minimum Documents for obtaining an effective filing date:
With Information of Items from 1 to 4, we can obtain an effective Taiwanese filing date. Power of Attorney may be submitted within 4 months from the filing date, and extensible for further two (2) months; but the deadline for submitting priority documents is inextensible.
